Our first real time in Mexico, flying down to Los Cabos in the Fall to attend a wedding. We went fishing out past El Arco de Cabo San Lucas, played a round of golf at Cabo Real G.C. smoking a sweet Cuban cigar, and soaked in the sun in 80 degree weather and blue skies. The drinks were plenty and the food was delicious, especially the fish and shrimp tacos on the last night. Sammy sure did know what he was doing...

All-Inclusive (Meliã Cabo Real) We read a lot of opinions, both good and bad, about "all-inclusive" resorts. We found the all-inclusive option was definitely worth the money, especially staying along La Corridor. The food at the Meliã was better than decent (although the resturants all left something to be desired). The drinks were fantastic. They were not watered-down and they were free flowing. I'm not sure if we'd go to an "all-inclusive" resort again, but being our first trip to Cabo, it was definitely worth it.
La Corridor Our hotel, Meliã Cabo Real along "La Corridor", was about 10 minutes from San Jose Del Cabo and about 20 minutes from Cabo San Lucas - both via cab. The ride back to the airport was about a 45 minute ride with some traffic. I was too excited to recall the ride from the airport to the hotel.
Taxis Make sure you ask the rate to where you are going before getting in the taxi, and agree to it. Taxis in Cabo didn't have any meters, and they all look different, so you're really at the mercy of the driver. We found most drivers to be pretty honest (with one exception going to the airport, but I think that was a miscommunication between the hotel valet and the taxi driver). We found most taxi fares from our hotel to downtown Cabo San Lucas to be $5.00 USD a person.
Cabo Real G.C. A fantastic facility. We rented Taylor Made R7 irons, driver, fairway and rescue club(s) for $40. Definitely pack golf balls, tees and your shoes. Sleeves of balls were a little pricey (but I had to buy one to get the logo ball). It was fairly easy to get a tee time the day before. The golf course is right next to the hotel, but you need to take a taxi up to the clubhouse which is across the highway back in the hills.
